To Listen to and Serve the People of Merrimack
My husband Mark and I moved to Merrimack from Londonderry in 1991.
We raised our 2 (now grown) children in Merrimack. We enjoy living in Merrimack and especially appreciate Wasserman Park and Horse Hill preserve.
I began my career as a High School English and French teacher in Upstate NY. (I was the entire French Department in a rural school.) This public school teaching experience has given me a great respect and appreciation for teachers.
Although I loved teaching and the kids, after several years I decided to go to graduate school at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for Technical Writing and User Interface Design. Since finishing my Ph. D. I have worked at various computer companies over the years, including Oracle, EMC, SolidWorks, IBM and Digital Equipment Corporation.
As a User Interface Designer, I have learned how to listen to clients to understand what is not working for them with the software they are using. I work with these users to clarify the problems and identify solutions. I can bring this skill to the people of Merrimack and work with you -- and with other Representatives in Concord -- to understand your problems and identify solutions.
